President’s response to rumors

Ladies, Gentlemen, Tackers and my esteemed Rod bender colleagues. It appears that yet again witless fools are trying to attack our association and hence all that is good in the world. Flippant accusations have been made by a group identifying themselves as the AARB (a division of All Male Dance Troops Inc). Accusations that cut straight at the foundations of all angling in Australia.They include claims of undersized fish being kept and bag limits being ignored with in our ranks. Clearly the work of someone who rarely, if ever, enjoys the thrill of catching a fish.The leader of the AARB has no basis for these allegations other than spite; you see he once applied unsuccessfully to become a member of our association.In conditions seldom seen at a Rod Bender meet, flat seas, sun shining this dope passed over his rod whilst it was at full arch with a fiery macky s hooked up. Obviously there is not a fishing bone in his body.His baseless allegations of bag limit breaches have been strenuously denied by all partners of the current association member with one claiming that she had never seen her lover return from a meet with any fish at all.As for his claims of the removal of undersized fish, yet again with out evidence, our research indicates that our throw backs have a 99.96r chance of surviving until their 19th birthday. Our research also shows that fish caught by a full Rod Bender Association member enjoy the experience at least 8 times more enjoyable then being caught by any other type of angler. The membership waiting line is growing by the day and I feel it an appropriate opportunity to remind all potential members about what it is to be a Rod Bender.It is not about the size of your boat or how shiny your rod is, it’s about how u bend it. It’s about good times with mates, a few beers and of course our finned friends.So for those of you awaiting the call up rest assured, if your heart is true to the cause then you will be signed up hook line and sinker.
